Honda will invest additional $54.8 million in Lincoln plant expansion

LINCOLN, Ala. – Talladega County’s largest employer and Alabama’s largest manufacturer continues to expand.

Honda will invest $54.8 million in its Talladega Co. plant in Lincoln.

The investment will add more than 50,000 square-feet to its operations with expansion set to be completed in 2021.

In 2017, Honda announced another $85 million expansion which will open next month. In total, more than 400,00 square-feet will be added to the Honda plant when all work is completed.

Honda’s Lincoln plant opened in 2001 and sits at 4.2 million square-feet. According to Honda’s website, the plant produces 340,000 vehicles per-year and V-6 engines.
