SYLACAUGA Ala. – Over the last two months, the Sylacauga City Schools Nutrition program has provided over 25,000 meals to students.
The curbside grab and go service has offered free breakfast and lunch to students ages 18 and under Monday-Friday 11 – noon. Students could pick up their meals at Pinecrest Elementary School, Nichols-Lawson Middle School, Verlie Collins Community Center or regular stops for bus #15.
“The curbside grab and go service has been a great opportunity to show the community what we do best in school nutrition: feed kids,” said CNP director Kelley Wassermann. “I am so very proud of our Child Nutrition staff, for the commitment they have made for the children of our community.”
The curbside service will be available through Thursday, May 21.
