TALLADEGA COUNTY, Ala. – On Friday, President announced a potential deal to end the longest government shutdown in United States history.

The proposal will end the shutdown for three weeks. The President described the deal as a short term solution as negotiations surrounding a southern border wall will continue.

According to advantagealabama.com, there are over 450 federal employees in Talladega County. These 450-plus employees will now receive pay for the first time in 2019, and will be back-paid for missed pay cycles this year.

The bill could be on the senate floor by the end of the day Friday.
