Motorcycle driver transported to hospital after colliding with sedan on Broadway Ave. and 9th St

SYLACAUGA, Ala. – On Friday morning at 10:55, the Sylacuaga Police Department and Sylacauga Fire Department, along with Sylacauga Ambulance, responded to a vehicle crash at the intersection of E. 9th St. and Broadway Ave.

The crash involved a gray Nissan Altima and a motorcycle.

When SylacaugaNews.com arrived to the scene, the driver of the motorcycle was being placed on a stretcher and was eventually transported to a local hospital.

The motorcycle was left lying, and somewhat mangled, on the corner of the J. Craig Smith Community Center property. Laying on top of the motorcycle was the front bumper of the Altima.

The severity of the motorcycle driver’s injury, if any, are unknown.The driver of the Nissan Altima was out of the vehicle and walking around at the scene.
