SYLACAUGA Ala.- Cuppa Grace Cafe and Coffee Shop has awarded its 2020 scholarship to FHS graduate Sarah Grace Sherbert, in the amount of $250.
Applicants were asked to write an essay describing what grace meant to them.
“Sarah’s ability to write an excellent essay and personal connection to what grace meant to her, was what stood out to us,” said Cuppa Grace owner Jacintha Hay.
Sherbert is very involved in her church, The Tabernacle, where she is also apart of the worship team.
“It really has been an honor to receive this scholarship,” said Sherbert. “When given the essay topic, I knew I wanted it to be heartfelt, as well as true to my character and beliefs. I am overwhelmed that I was able to represent Christ through this scholarship.”
Sherbert will be attending the University of Alabama in the fall to pursue an undergraduate degree in Kinesiology and Pre-Physical Therapy. Her goal is to work as a Physical Therapist for special needs children.
