FAYETTEVILLE, Ala. – Fayetteville High School offensive lineman Connor Hendrick signed a football scholarship today with Thomas More College.
Hendrick is the right guard on the offensive line, and has been playing football since he was young. He told SylacauagNews.com he is thankful for everyone who has supported him throughout playing, and he is very excited to play at the college level.
“Football means almost everything to me. It’s my life, and what I love to do. People have their hobbies, they love to fish, hunt, and I love to do that too, but football is my thing,” said Hendrick.
Hendrick’s mother, Kippy MacLeroy, said this has been a long process, and is glad he made a decision after visiting several schools. “We are just very proud of him and can’t wait to see what he does on the next level.”
Coach John Limbaugh has been Hendrick’s coach since he became the Head Football Coach and Athletic Director at Fayetteville in 2013. “I wish we had 10 more just kids like Connor. The thing about Connor is you set expectations for him everyday, and he would meet those expectations; he’s just a really tremendous young man, and he’s going to do great things in college.”
Also at the signing table is Cole Terrell, who is heading to Jacksonville State University.
