SYLACAUGA Ala.- Back to school shoppers in Alabama will once again get a break, this back-to-school season.

Alabama’s annual sales tax holiday is set for July 17 through July 19.

School supplies, books and some clothing and technology purchases will be exempt from the state’s four percent sales or use tax.

The Sylacauga City Council approved the sales tax holiday at its meeting last Tuesday.
