SYLACAUGA Ala. – Residents in the Center Point Acres community have seen a recent change in their mailing address.
Residents with a Sylacauga address now have a Childersburg address, with a Sylacauga zip code.
The changes happened suddenly and residents were unaware.
“We did not get any notification about the changes,” said one community member. “I went to order something online and that’s when I became aware of the changes.”
The United States Postal Service was contacted, but SylacaugaNews.com could not receive a response as to why addresses were changed.
With voting season right around the corner, these changes could cause voter validation issues and confusion. The Talladega County Probate Office said it is unaware of how, if at all, this will affect voters.
