CHILDERSBURG, Ala. – The Childersburg City Council met on Tuesday, June 2, 2020, at 6:00 p.m. for their regular meeting with the following agenda of items for action:
The Council approved Resolution 2020-09, awarding the Rainwater House Painting Project bid to Painting Perfection by Garcia. The $14,950 bid includes replacement of rotted wood in identified places on the structure.
Also approved was Resolution 2020-10, which supports a proposal asking the Talladega County Commission to reallocate Bridge Funds to Coosa Valley Medical Center in efforts of continued healthcare services to residents.
The Council gave approval to re-appoint Gene Piatkowski to the Childersburg Housing Authority Board with term expiring Feb. 3, 2025.
Approval was given to purchase a 2006 bus from the Talladega County Board of Education in the amount of $6,000 for use by the Park and Recreation Department.
The Council approved the promotion of Zack Fuller to Captain with the Fire Department at a pay rate of $16.75 per hour.
Approval was given to the Police Department to purchase printer model ECOSYS M3645idn from Kyocera Documents in the amount of $1,495 with a $22 month service agreement for the Police Booking room.
The Council approved publication of a notice of election in Daily Home on Wednesday, July 1, 2020 in the amount of $208.20.
Approval was given to pay invoices in the amount of $136,950.37.
The Council gave approval to Mayor Ken Wesson to purchase a zero-turn commercial lawn mower for the Kymulga Grist Mill Park at a cost not to exceed $8,000.
The next regular meeting will be held on June 16th, 2020 at 6:00 p.m.
