SYLACAUGA, Ala. – In a formal ceremony held at the Sylacauga High School auditorium, 43 new members were inducted into the National Honor Society, and 45 new members were inducted into the Junior Scholastic Society.

Candles were lit by NHS officers signifying the four attributes of membership: scholarship, service, leadership, and character.

Inductees into NHS are Savanna DeLoach, Brookelyn Hamilton, Cody Glenn Lessley, Connor Machen, Grace Abernathy, Elizabeth Arnold, Jordyn Basinger, Olivia Bolton, Madison Clark, Max Cleveland, Brady Davis, Ibby Dickson, Madison Estelle, Jillian Foster, Emily Ballups, Kristen Gamel, Maggie Green, Ally Harmon, Brylane Hay, Leslie Hemby, Sophie Hutchinson, Ruby Huerta, Max Jackson, Ashleigh Johnson, Rachel Kidd, Gabby Knox, Erica Laughridge, Caden Lunsford, Grier Marlowe, Emma McGrady, Mason McKinney, Morgan McKinney, Nichole McNeill, Zachary Miller, Gabe Oliver, Landon Owen, Ariana Pritchard, Anna Reeves, Keziah Sanders, Kaleigh Smith, Cassidy Terrill, Savannah Welborn, and Sierra Welch.
