Talladega County Sheriff reports Saturday shooting, asks for help

ALPINE, Ala. – The Talladega County Sheriff’s office has requested help from the public in identifying witnesses or providing information about a weekend shooting in Alpine.

On Saturday, Dec. 22, deputies were dispatched to a residence on Rubenville Lane following a report of multiple shootings at approximately 2:40 a.m. Five people were transported for medical treatment for gunshot wounds, and three of the victims were later taken to UAB Hospital in Birmingham for additional treatment.

Investigators reported that a large number of individuals were at the residence when the shooting occurred and have asked that anyone who may be able to assist with information contact the Investigations Division at 256-761-2141 or leave an anonymous tip online by clicking Leave a Crime Tip at TalladegaSheriff.com.
