CHILDERSBURG, Ala. – On Friday, Renasant Bank in downtown Childersburg held its 114th birthday celebration, welcoming everyone in the community to attend.
The local branch celebrated with a beautiful cake, drinks, treats, and birthday hats as community members poured in to join along in the festivities.
The Childersburg branch of Renasant Bank has been serving the Childersburg community since August 2015, and recently signed a lease extension to continue serving Childersburg for many years to come.
“Our goal is to serve the entire community whether they are our customers or not,” explained Childersburg Branch Manager Janice Grohs. “When we put on events like this we invite everyone, because this entire community is our family.”
Renasant in Childersburg is known for its community outreach events. Just last week on Friday, March 2, the branch held a community fundraiser called “Totes of Hope.” The fundraiser is a benefit to veterans of the United States military where Renasant partners with the American Red Cross to give back. Last Friday, Renasant held a spaghetti to-go lunch. The proceeds went towards putting what Grohs called “bags of necessities’ such as toiletry bags. Renasant’s goal was 50 bags for the entire campaign that runs through the end of March. The branch has already surpassed its goal with 67 bags completed and is still looking to fill more until the fundraiser ends.
“This is what we do. This is who we are,” said Grohs. “We give back to our community.”
Being such a cornerstone for the Childersburg community, Renasant has prided itself on recently renovating its downtown facility and is happy to be a partner in the revitalization of historic downtown Childersburg. Grohs said Renasant is committed to Childersburg and is happy to be a growing partner in the community.
