SYLACAUGA, Ala. – The fun of snow in Sylacauga’s winter wonderland lasted around 45 minutes for many throughout East-Central Alabama. Power outages have ravaged the area, leaving many to freeze over the last four days.

While many in the city of Sylacauga have had power restored to their homes, outages continue to affect people inside the city limits.

Sylacauga Utilities Board General Manager Mitch Miller told SylacaugaNews.com as of 11:00 a.m. on Monday morning, the city is still experiencing 10 active outages. These outages are affecting 31 customers.

Miller said most of these issues are in one area. He explained the biggest issues are around Spring St., Spring Dr., and Cannon Rd. Miller expects most issues to be resolved today.

UPDATE: Dec. 11, 2017. 11:50 a.m.
