One dead, children transported to hospital after weekend Coosa County crash

COOSA COUNTY, Ala. – A single-vehicle crash in Coosa County at 6:30 a.m. on Saturday, April 13, claimed the life of an Anniston woman.

The crash occurred on U.S. 231 at the 186 mile marker, approximately three miles south of Rockford.

Brooklyn Paige Milam, 30, was killed when the 2015 Chrysler Town and Country she was driving left the roadway and traveled down an embankment.

Milam, who was not using a seat belt, was pronounced dead on the scene.

Two child occupants were transported to Children’s Medical Center in Birmingham for treatment of injuries.

Nothing further is available as Alabama State Troopers continue to investigate.
