SYLACAUGA, Ala. – Hutton Team LLC, developer of the new shopping center on U.S. Highway 280 in Sylacauga, has confirmed that Chick-fil-A is building a restaurant on the site.
“We are pleased to confirm Chick-fil-A’s plans to be part of our new Marble City Square with opening set for April 26, 2018,” Jamey Flegal, Development Partner for Hutton’s Shopping Center Team, told SylacaugaNews.com, adding that the project is on track for completion next Spring. Construction plans were submitted to the City of Sylacauga last week.
Hutton MCS Sylacauga LLC closed on the property purchase on June 6. At the groundbreaking ceremony, Hutton announced T.J.-Maxx, Hobby Lobby, and Petsense as the first three retail tenants in the 150,000 sq. ft. facility.
Approximately half of the 33-acre tract is being developed in the initial phase. At least one additional restaurant is planned.
Chattanooga-based Hutton has completed more than 200 owned and managed developments across almost 1,000 locations in 37 states.
Built on Truett Cathy’s first restaurant in Georgia in 1946 and the first Chick-fil-A location 50 years ago, the Atlanta-based company has more than 2,100 restaurants across 46 states plus the District of Columbia.
