SYLACAUGA, Ala. – First Baptist Church of Sylacauga is getting ready to host ‘Christmas at the Keyboards’ for the second time in three years this coming weekend.

First Baptist Church first hosted the event in 2014 and it was very successful according to First Baptist Pianist and Music Assistant Judy Andrews. She said the church held two separate performances that year and the sanctuary was full both times. The Christmas concert was so well received in 2014 that it is making a comeback this Christmas by popular demand.

“The people really like it so they asked us to do it again,” said Andrews. “They are excited because it’s a great way to kickoff the Christmas season.”

The program will feature four grand pianos and pianists Todd Freeman, Bradley Logan, Donna Trammell, Jane Vaughn, and Judy Andrews herself.

Andrews said the event is enjoyable for everyone, even the pianists. “We have a good time doing and its fun,” stated Andrews. “It’s a great way t give back to the community, and we like it.”

There will be three opportunities to catch the concert this upcoming weekend. The first performance will be held Friday, Dec. 2 at 7:00 p.m. Friday’s performance will follow the church’s Senior Adult Banquet. The last two performances will be held Sunday, Dec. 4. The first chance to catch the show Sunday will be at 4:00 p.m. The final opportunity will be shortly afterward at 6:00 p.m. All performances will be held in the church sanctuary.
