B. B. Comer Memorial Library and First Bank of Alabama are continuing the adult lecture series.
February 1, 2023: Matthew Downs speaks on “The Tennessee Valley Authority and Regional Development in North Alabama from 1933-1960”
February 8, 2023: Kathryn Braund speaks on “William Bartram’s Travel and Legacy.”
February 15, 2023: Elnoral Spencer speaks on the “Best of Jazzy Blues and More.”
February 22, 2023: Billy Singleton speaks on Alabama’s First Ladies of Flight.”
March 1, 2023: Delores Hydock returns to speak on “Story Souvenirs.”
All programs begin at Noon and are held in the Harry I. Brown Auditorium. Doors open at 11:30 a.m. . Participants are encourage to bring their own sandwich for lunch. The library will provide bottled water, and the Hickory Street Cafe will provide a prepackaged dessert at the door. Social distancing guidelines will be observed.
