The Veterans Day Program at Fayetteville High School will be Friday, November 8, 2024 at 10:00 a.m. FHS has had a program at the school since the late 1960’s. Each year they recognize veterans from the surrounding communities. This year, one veteran is even coming from California to attend the Veterans Day Program and has done so for several years. The program will be in the school gymnasium, and lunch will be served immediately after the program..
The FHS Band, Mrs. Kayla Lucas, and Eli Thornton will provide the special music.
The guest speaker will be Sergeant Major James Michael “Mike” Oakley, United States Army He served with the Green Berets. He retired after nearly 40 years with three deployments. He spent 17 years in Special Forces and had 208 parachute jumps.
The program is sponsored by the Future Business Leaders of America and their sponsor, Ms. Linda Terry.
