B.B. Comer Memorial Library hosts the 2019 SouthFirst Bank Adult Lecture Series, "Celebrating Alabama's Storied Past," on Feb. 20, 2019, with guest speaker Dr. Kathryn Braund. Refreshments will begin at 11:00 a.m. followed by the program at noon.
The featured exhibit this month at the Comer Museum & Arts Center is Fletcher Scott's "Woods, Water and Wildlife." The Artist's Reception will be held Thursday, Feb. 21, 2019 from 6:30 p.m-8:00 p.m. Admission is free. Donations are welcomed.
Sylacauga Parks and Rec begins Cal Ripken baseball registration on Tuesday, Jan 22, 2019, at J. Craig Smith Community Center. Registration fees are $55 for ages 3-4 and $75 for children ages 5 – 12. The fees include a complete uniform (shirt, pants, cap, belt and socks), plus supplies, catcher’s equipment, and umpires.
