BIRMINGHAM – Ala. – The National Weather Service in Birmingham has issued a freeze watch in effect for portions of East Central Alabama Saturday night through Monday morning.

…FREEZE WATCH IN EFFECT FROM SUNDAY EVENING THROUGH MONDAY MORNING…

The National Weather Service in Birmingham has issued a Freeze Watch, which is in effect from Sunday evening through Monday morning.

* TEMPERATURE…temperatures drop below freezing starting around 10 pm Sunday night and last until 8 am Monday morning, with lows 28 to 33 degrees

* IMPACTS…Temperatures at or below freezing could kill crops or sensitive plants and vegetation

PRECAUTIONARY/PREPAREDNESS ACTIONS…

A Freeze Watch means sub-freezing temperatures are possible. These conditions could kill crops and other sensitive vegetation.
