CHILDERSBURG, Ala. – Last Friday Childersburg police made an arrest in a murder case that took place in November.
According to the Childersburg Police Dept., 32-year-old Jarvis M Hall, a resident of Childersburg, had a warrant issued for his arrest on Thursday, Jan. 25. He was arrested the next day in Childersburg.
The homicide Hall allegedly committed took place on Nov. 21 in Childersburg. CPD told SylacaugaNews.com Stephen McFarland was shot as he and Hall were gambling in the housing projects. Hall and McFarland got into an argument which led to the shooting.
“This case has been under investigation for a little over two months,” said Lt. Kevin Koss. “We were able to gather evidence and witnesses, and all of that led us to Mr. Hall.”
Hall’s bond was set at $101,000 for all three charges.
He was released on bail on Monday, Jan. 29. His preliminary hearing has been scheduled for an unspecified day in the month of March, then the case will be given to a grand jury.
