SYLACAUGA, Ala. – The Little Mister and Miss Sylacauga pageant made a comeback on Sunday at the J. Craig Smith Community Center after not being held in the past few years.

The pageant had a total of 19 contestants that participated in four different divisions: Tiny Miss Sylacauga, Petite Little Mister Sylacauga, Little Miss Sylacauga, and Young Miss Sylacauga.

Winner of Tiny Miss Sylacauga was Isabell Walker. She is the five-year-old daughter of Caleb and Kaitlyn Walker. Petite Little Mister winner was eight-year-old Payne Ernest. The Young Miss Sylacauga winner was 12-year-old Katlyn Boozer. She is the daughter of Brenton and Monica Boozer. The Little Mister and Miss pageant is a fundraiser for the Miss Sylacauga and Miss Marble Valley pageant that will be held in January. The funds raised in the Little Mister and Miss will go towards scholarships for contestants in the Miss Sylacauga and Miss Marble Valley pageant.

“We were pleasantly surprised by the turnout to support our pageant,” said Sylacauga Parks and Recreation Director Jim Armstrong. “After several years of not having the pageant we were pleased with the turn out, and hope that it will grow even bigger next year.”
