Volunteers from Sylacauga Animal Shelter and The Feral Dogs of Avondale Mill will partner to sponsor a charity yard sale on Saturday, May 13, 2017 from 8 a.m. until 2 p.m. at the Pickle Patch. Proceeds will pay for an additional concrete kennel pad at the animal shelter for outdoor exercise and training.

A trailer from Avondale Trucking Company has been donated to collect quality community donations for this event. It is located at the Sylacauga Animal Shelter. Drop off your gently used donations on Fridays or Saturdays from 9 a.m. until 4 p.m. through May 6.

Large TV’s, mattresses, upholstered furniture and large appliances may not be left, but acceptable quality items may include:

  • Workout/sporting equipment
  • Bicycles
  • Working Electronics
  • Toys (not broken)
  • Household items (dishes, clocks, frames, glassware)
  • Quality wood or iron furniture
  • Household decorations
  • Baby / Children’s clothes (up to size 12)
  • Gardening equipment or yard decorations
  • Jewelry
  • Antiques
  • Baby items and furniture
  • Books (especially children’s books)
