Comer Museum & Arts Center will host the Annual Congressional Student Art Competition from April 21 until April 29 with an Awards Reception on Saturday, April 29, 2017 from 2:00-4:00 p.m.
Every year for the past 35 years, the United States House of Representatives has held a Congressional Student Art Competition which highlights artwork created by high school students from participating Congressional districts throughout the country. Members of Congress who choose to participate invite high school students in their districts to submit artwork from which a winner is selected. The winning entry from each Congressional district is then sent to Washington, D.C. to be displayed in the underground tunnel leading from the Cannon House Office Building to the United States Capitol. What an honor for Comer Museum & Arts Center to host this memorable event!
